Bricks has assisted an advanced marine engineering company in building a major £3m manufacturing centre which will enable it to continue to be a global player in its field.
Established in 2012, Feritech delivers products and services for companies working within the harshest of marine environments in over 40 countries. Needing a new manufacturing facility on a site near Falmouth, Bricks came in with its lending expertise and project support.
Managing director Rob Ferris explains: “The team at Bricks was quick to agree the funding package and have been with us every step of the way during the development, leading to us successfully opening the new facility in September.”
The new factory enables Feritech to service the emerging floating offshore wind market, where the current fast-growing opportunity in the Celtic Sea is expected to make the South West of England a major player in this important new field of renewable energy.
It is the only manufacturing centre of its kind in the South West, offering everything from design to fabrication, embedded software, electronics, precision machining and 3D printing, all on one site, thus enabling faster turnaround of projects.
